Troubleshooting Articles for Grammarly for Microsoft Word and Outlook on Windows.
I am a grammarly user and downloaded Microsoft Add-on to use with MS Word and MS Outlook. I use a windows 10 PC with Office 2016. When I ran the installer as administrator, I noticed that the installation only worked with MS Word. In outlook I am not finding the Grammarly button at work. I have contacted Grammarly for help but still no success. I have tryed uninstalling and reinstalling, repairing MS Office, etc.
One strange thing is that when I look up my account information it says it is a Microsoft Exchange Account. My email is simply an outlook.com come. I do not use microsof exchange or office 365 Any suggestions? Hello Jennifer, Grammarly add-in for Microsoft Office allows you to use Grammarly while you're writing Word documents or Outlook emails. Since Grammarly supports Windows 10 and Office 2016, compatibility issue won't be a problem at all. Noted that you already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app and also tried repairing it, we need to make sure that Grammarly add-in is not disabled on your Outlook. To check, please follow these steps:.
Open Outlook application. Click on File. Select Options.
Click Add-in. Under the Manage drop-down, Select Disabled Items and click Go. Under Disabled items, please check if G rammarly Add-in is listed. Click on it, and select Enable. The Grammarly Tab must appear after enabling it. Please respond to this thread to let me know how the issue progresses.

Similarly, if you have more questions, please inform me by replying to this post. Do we have a solution for this problem yet? I was finally able to get mine working properly by uninstalling my Office 365 suite and then going online (signing into my office account) and deactivating the install for this particular laptop. Then, I took and chose the option to install Office onto a new computer. After downloading and installing it this way, I checked for updates (which there were some).
After this, I then reinstalled Grammarly and the tab/button showed up. Hope this helps someone, Rubric.
