MudRunner – American Wilds is the ultimate version of the indie hit MudRunner, including all DLC already released, as well as the upcoming American Wilds expansion that will push your gameplay experience even further!
MudRunner is the ultimate off-road experience for the first time on consoles. The game puts you in the driver seat of incredible all-terrain vehicles, venturing across extreme Siberian landscapes with only a map and compass as guides! Drive 19 powerful all-terrain vehicles with their own characteristics and equipment. Complete your objectives by enduring perilous conditions across wild landscapes in extreme conditions with dynamic day-night cycles.
Overcome muddy terrain, raging rivers and other obstacles that realistically react to your vehicle powered by the game's physics engine. With your map, compass, and your driving skills as allies, go solo or join up to three others in coop multiplayer. I could be wrong but I think the developers want you to drive with the 1st person camera and the 3rd person camera is meant more to be used to check your surroundings. I do admit it is a bit jarring at first but I am getting used to it. As far as the physics go, I have never drove a 10 ton, 8 wheeled Russian made vehicle in 6 feet of mud so I can't say one way or the other if it is realistic or not. This is not mudding like you might see your redneck friends do drunk one weekend. These vehicles are slow and live in the mud and most serve a purpose.
About the third challenge you realize this is a game of inches and feet, not Miles or kilometers per hour. Backing a vehicle up with a trailer attached can be challenging if you have never done it let alone doing it in 5 feet of mud with boulders strewn throughout. Patience is definitely a requirement for this game. These are logging trucks mostly, not your cousin Cletis and his jacked up Silverado. The actual mechanics and core of the game is very well done.
Playing with friends also makes the game a lot more entertaining. My key complaint is I purchased this with the impression that this was more than just a work simulator. The best videos I saw online about this game was with the use of mods and that just isn't the case with the Xbox One version. Without the mods or some sort of dlc, this game gets old really fast. To some people this is quite literally a simulator of what they do for a living so the novelty just isn't there. In short, without mods, this game is severely lacking. Submitted on Review title of acecombat987Great game but needs more for its price or mods Thanks for adding in the American wilds dlc all iwas really happy about being able to drive an h1 offroad in a more realistic setting as opposed to forza or whatever. 2 things though for $10 mods would have been perfect but $50 for a nicer version of the game is a lil high, plus there isnt much do once you finish.but in all honesty i would like some different things to do or more challenging even on hardcore it gets easy.
Want 5 stars make this a longer play through with more activities or add mods. (I love this game and its got me hungry for more. So while everyone on pc is enjoying mods and the American wilds dlc everyone else is sitting on the side lines begging to join on the fun.
I know people would even pay for all the mods and the American wilds dlc).
